Experience and Expertise

Kathy developed her skills in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Business Research, and Business Management through 15 years of experience working for a wide variety of businesses as well as starting and building her own consulting business. She has held positions as:

  • Director of Business Development for LTI Technologies, a small business ($5 Million) specializing in the maintenance of high tech medical equipment.
  • Market Research Manager and Competitor Intelligence and Analysis Manager for Texas Instruments, a Fortune 500 company.
  • Marketing Consultant for Gelb Consulting Group, a marketing consulting firm.

The Practice

She founded Sanders Martin Consulting in 1996, with the intent of helping clients find, attract, and retain enough of the right kinds of customers so their businesses grow and thrive. She’s been doing that ever since.

Her practice places special emphasis on business-to-business and professional services marketing and she works with clients across a wide range of industries.

In addition, she speaks at trade show and industry conferences on practical ways to solve real world marketing issues.

Business Philosophy

Her philosophy centers on helping clients learn and develop the marketing skills they need to do what needs to be done. Yet, in situations when marketing changes have to be made quickly, Kathy can make them happen.

She believes that profitable marketing is the art of providing exceptional value to customers. That’s how she runs her business and is at the heart of the expertise she shares with her clients.

Activities

Kathy serves as an adjunct professor of marketing at Boise State University.

She has written a series of columns on strategic business and marketing issues for the Idaho Business Review and served as a contributor to the Sports and Business Report on KTIK radio. Kathy volunteers as an instructor for the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) and the Idaho Small Business Development Center (ISBDC). She has been a guest speaker at numerous business conferences, trade shows, and professional meetings. Kathy presents marketing seminars. She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and the American Marketing Association.
